Why 'Lord of Steel'?
In the year of our Lord 1564, Prince Walter led his men into battle on Gallop Lane.
After an epic cavalry charge the battle raged and our good Prince Walter lost his hand in the process. He managed to get out of the way despite his injury and his steed panicked and carried him away.
After hours of wandering, he gave up, leaving his kingdom without a Lord to rule it. A stone marked with his severed hand can still be seen today, as well as his tomb at the exact spot where the events took place.
Centuries later, at the favourite training ground of modern fencers, the idea was born to create a competition linking memory and the present day, paying tribute to this fallen Lord.
Now it is your turn to become a legend! Will you be as strong as steel?
The kingdom is counting on you to impose yourself as the new Lord!
